It all started with a dream & a partnership…

Mercy Housing California (MHC) and Villa de Vida (VDV) are partnering to develop Villa de Vida Poway, a two-story 54-unit affordable housing development serving adults with developmental disabilities who are capable of independent living. The development is located on Poway Housing Authority property at 12341-12355 Oak Knoll Road, at the corner of Oak Knoll Road and Pomerado Road in Poway, California.

The General Contractor for Villa de Vida Poway is Sun Country Builders, Inc. Sun Country Builders has worked with Villa de Vida, Inc. and Mercy Housing California to develop a project specific Mission Statement for the development. The Mission Statement serves as a guide to be followed by the construction team to accomplish our goals set for the project. More than just on time and on budget goals, the Mission Statement includes communication goals for the project team, mindfulness of the needs of the future resident population, and a positive working relationship with lenders and regulatory agencies, among others.

Sun Country Builders is proud to be a partner in this development and is dedicated to delivering a project that will maximize the quality of life and satisfaction of the residents that will call Villa de Vida Poway home.

Construction Progress - July 1, 2019

The leveling and grading to make the entire surface flat and to begin the foundation.

We ran into many more boulders than we expected while excavating and we came across a buried manhole, which we had to uncover and destroy for disposal.
